Terms of service

Last updated October 15, 2026

These terms apply to the Versed app and this website. By installing or using Versed, you agree to them.

1. License

Versed is free. You may install and use it on devices you own or control, for personal use. You may not sell Versed, bundle it with other software, or distribute modified copies of it. To share Versed, link to this website so others receive the official version and its updates.

2. Your Discord status

You are responsible for the content Versed displays on your Discord profile at your direction, including any custom text and buttons. Your use of Versed must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Do not use custom text or buttons for spam, deception or links to harmful content.

3. Lyrics and cover images

Versed does not own the lyrics or cover images it displays. They are retrieved from third-party services (LRCLIB, NetEase Cloud Music, the Apple iTunes Search API and Deezer) for your personal, non-commercial use. All rights remain with their respective owners. You may not use Versed to collect, copy or republish lyrics or artwork.

Versed does not control the content these services return, and does not guarantee that lyrics or cover images are accurate, complete or correctly timed.

4. Third-party services

Versed is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord, Spotify, Apple or any other service it works with. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. Changes made by those services may cause features of Versed to stop working, temporarily or permanently.

5. Updates

Versed downloads and installs updates automatically unless you turn this off in Settings. Features may be added, changed or removed in any update. Changes are listed in the changelog.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Versed and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. There is no guarantee that Versed will be error-free or continuously available. The macOS and Linux versions are in beta.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Versed is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Versed or this website, including any effect on your Discord account. Where applicable law does not allow these limitations, they apply to the fullest extent permitted. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

8. Termination

You may stop using Versed at any time by uninstalling it. The privacy policy explains how to delete the data it stores on your device.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date above shows when they last changed. Continued use of Versed after an update means you accept the revised terms.
